QS/1 Releases Shopping for CornerDrugstore Pharmacy Web Sites
Thursday, June 23, 2005

Spartanburg, S.C. – June 14, 2005 -- QS/1 releases shopping solution to help CornerDrugstore customers generate additional revenue through their pharmacy web sites. QS/1 has established a relationship with eVitamins to offer online shopping to the visitors of all CornerDrugstore web sites. This shopping solution provides an opportunity for pharmacies with CornerDrugstore web sites to generate a new revenue stream and increase traffic to their pharmacy web sites. In addition, this solution can offset the already low cost of having a pharmacy web site from CornerDrugstore.

CornerDrugstore web sites will now be able to offer visitors a large selection of over 3,800 vitamins, supplements and herbal products without adding any additional inventory, shelf space, or without making any other expenditures. CornerDrugstore pharmacies can expect to receive a healthy portion of the purchase price for all products ordered through their pharmacy’s web site without incurring any costs associated with inventory, shipping, personnel or credit card transactions.

"CornerDrugstore web site customers can now offer their customers a one-stop solution for ordering prescription refills and nutritional supplements," said Randy Burnett, QS/1’s Market Analyst Manager. "CornerDrugstore is now a convenient means for a patient to submit an online prescription refill and simultaneously order nutritional supplements to replenish any nutrients that are being depleted by their medication therapy."

To help pharmacists encourage patients to visit their web site, QS/1 offers several marketing tools. One of the most effective tools available is a flyer printed with the pharmacy’s web address and designed for the pharmacy to include in every new prescription bag. One of these flyers directs patients to the Supplements tab on the pharmacy’s web site and encourages them to use this new shopping solution. Patients can also use the CornerDrugstore drug depletions tool to see if the drug they are taking may be causing certain nutrient depletions. Even anti-inflammatory medications like Ibuprofen cause nutrient depletions of Iron, Melatonin, Vitamin B9 and Zinc. While Aspirins cause depletions of Iron, Potassium, Vitamin B9 and Vitamin C. The pharmacy’s web site now provides user-friendly search options for supplements by category, product and brand.

eVitamins, an award-winning online nutritional superstore, carries nearly 300 top name brands – competitively priced. Their broad range of products and competitive prices allows them to offer CornerDrugstore pharmacy patients more value per visit than a typical online pharmacy.

QS/1 offers pharmacies a complete line of Web services including online prescription refills and health content. QS/1, a complete pharmacy automation solution provider, serves independent pharmacies, chain pharmacies, institutional pharmacies and pharmacies with HME and nursing home departments. QS/1 is a division of the J M Smith Corporation; the third largest privately held company in South Carolina. For additional information, call 1-800-559-5489.
